Package Includes: • Accommodation for 2 nights sharing with 3 others. If you wish to share with friends please make sure you state this on Registration form so I can arrange this. • Meals – Meals are provided and a list of types of food will be included in Info Pack. Friday night Dinner will be chicken and salad as evening meals is served before most people will arrive. • Retreat Bag for each person attending • 3 classes including kits supplied • Free Crop time • And there will be a Surprise from me for each person on there bed and in your Retreat Bag. The weekend will be fun packed with plenty of scrapbooking, lots of chatter and fun things. I will also be running Raffles, Challenges and maybe even a Trivia quiz. So don’t forget some money for the raffles etc. A deposit of $100 is required by June 30st to reserve your spot. Full payment is required by no later than 10 August 2008. This can be made in payments. Please contact me for details. A small shop will be set up for you to purchase scrapbook products on a Cash only basis. Blumar’s Craft Mini Retreat

You can attend retreat right from your living room, via the computer (like Weekend Workshops) (subject to internet availability). You purchase the goodies bag that the girls coming to the Retreat receive complete with the challenge kits and Class kits the instructions will be emailed to you on the Thursday night. You can arrange for friends to come and spend the weekend or just come over during the day and join in. If they are not members and sign up you both get a present. There may be a few of the forum members and their friends that live near each other and would like to get together or if you live too far from everyone, you can still join in on your own. If you are interested please email me for the Mini Retreat registration form, as I need to know how many kits I will need. Please make sure you get everyone who is attending your Mini Retreat to fill in the registration form even if they are not members, as I need details to send kits and other info. Blumar’s Craft Design Team Search Challenge.
We are looking for three new members for our Design Team – have you got what it takes to be part of our exciting team? Do you have an urge to share your creativity? If so join us in our search for our new team. Take part in our four week challenge, where we challenge you to be at your creative best and to inspire our forum members in to a frenzy. The Design Team Search Challenge starts on the 1st of June and will run until the 27th June. There will be one challenge (or possible two - watch out for surprises) that will be posted on the Saturday and you will have until the Friday to e-mail your creation in. You will be asked to teach one online lesson a month for the members of the Blumar's Forum. Through out your period of being on the Blumar's Craft Design Team you will also be required to help judge the Weekend Workshops (Cybercrops) Challenges and other Competitions. 1 large photo (roughly 12 x 17 cm)
1 smaller photo (roughly 9 x 12 cm)
1 cardstock (this doesn’t have to be cardstock it can be patterned paper if you wish)
3 patterned papers (can use scraps) (Call these paper A, paper B and paper C)
Alphas
A heap of flat embellishments (can be die cuts, paper flowers, cut out shapes from patterned paper, ribbons, fibres etc)
Your own ideas for decorations
Step One – Patterned Paper
Paper A - 2 rectangles shapes roughly 6 by 17 cm
Paper B - 2 rectangle strips roughly 3 by 17 cm
Paper C - 1 rectangle strip roughly 2 cm by 8 cmStep Two
Step Two -Patterned Paper Decoration
Decorate your patterned paper if you want to you can ink, sand, crumple, doodle, paint or whatever you wish to do. You can even leave it plain.
Step Three – Positioning the Patterned Paper
Paper A – place one of the rectangles roughly 6 cm from the left side of the cardstock and 3 cm down from the top of the cardstock. Place the second rectangle roughly 2 cm from the right side of the cardstock and 7 cm from the bottom of the cardstock.
Paper B – With one of the strips of Paper B over lap Paper A, roughly 6 cm from the top of the cardstock and 9 cm from the left hand edge of the cardstock. With the second strip over lap Paper A, roughly 3 cm from the right hand edge of the cardstock and 8 cm from the bottom edges of the cardstock.
Paper C – Where Paper A and Paper B over lap at the bottom of the cardstock overlap Paper C, roughly 4 cm from the right hand edge of the cardstock and 10 cm from the bottom edge of the cardstock.
Step Four – Photo Placement
Place the large photo roughly off centre of the cardstock. It is up to you which side you want to off centre it towards. Place the smaller photo slightly over lapping the bottom corner of the large photo, on the opposite side that you off centred the large photo on.
Step Five – EmbellishmentsUsing the flat embellishments that you have chosen run them in a wavy line from the bottom left corner of the cardstock up and over the bottom edges of the photos and then finish them off by running them over the bottom edge of the patterned paper. You will need to use flat embellishments because you will have to place your title over them.
Step Six – Title PlacementRoughly where the two photos overlap place a large title. Then along the top right hand corner of the large photo place another title.
Step Seven – JournalingPlace your journaling near the top right hand corner of the large photo. (You can write it on the cardstock, do stamping for it, journaling strips or even write it on the photo. It is up to you.)
Step Eight – Take ownershipIt is your layout, make it your own by putting the finishing touches on it. Doodle, paint, stitch, cut out, stamp, whatever your heart desires. We want to see your creative touch in your layout
