Well, here it is! A new year and a new Scrapping Word Pictures challenge. To spice things up, this year we've decided to add a little twist to the challenges. Each month we will be featuring a technique or 'added extra'.
As usual, the challenges will be posted on the 1st of each month. The inspirational team challenges will still be posted on the 15th. To keep you inspired in between, we will showcase a technique that will be included in the month's challenge.
This month it is embellished circles! There's many ways you can do this and over the next couple of weeks we will give you some tips and ideas how to incorporate these into your challenge layout so watch this space.
Without further ado we present January's challenge!
Material list
2 x portrait photos 10x15cm
1 x patterned paper or cardstock 30x30cm for base
Journaling block
Patterned paper pieces:-
Paper A - 24x24cm
Paper B - 30x13cm
Paper C - 28x5cm
4 embellished circles approximately 5x5cm - our technique of the month!!!
Paper Placement
Take Paper A and place it centred and 2cm from the bottom of your base.
Add Paper B horizontally 1cm from the bottom of Paper A.
Paper C should be attached vertically, 2cm from right hand side of base. This is where your title should be placed.
Next, add your photos side by side to the top left hand side of the layout.
Your journaling block now goes under the photo on the left hand side.
Place one of your embellished circles in the bottom left hand corner of the layout.
The remaining three embellished circles should be added in between your journaling block and your title.
Have fun and make it your own!
Remember to e-mail your layouts in no later than the 31st of January to word.pictures@hotmail.com and please tell your friends!!! If, at any time, you have any questions or suggestions, please send us an email. We'd love to hear from you.
